Juneteenth National Freedom Day celebration in Chattanooga, led by several members of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Brother Robert Phillips of St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church led the black soldiers, while the youth of Joseph Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church proudly held the Juneteenth banner (Elijah, Joshua, Jayden, Evin, and Jaaziah). The parade organizer, Brother Eric Atkins, is also a member of Joseph Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church and the co-chair of the Unity Group of Chattanooga (not shown). Other members who participated in the celebration were: Presiding Elder Kenneth Love, Rev. Dr. Donna Love (pastor of Joseph Chapel), Rev. Dr. Sheila Harris (pastor of St. James), Sister Sylvia Phillips (member of St. James), Sister Patrice Toney (member of St. Paul, Chattanooga), and Sister Marlena Toney (member of St. Paul, Chattanooga).

The Tennessee Mountain District is dedicated to serving God and the community, spanning from Pulaski to Knoxville. We support 19 affiliated churches, offering resources and engagement opportunities for all.
Our goal is to enhance visibility for events and promote fellowship among believers in East Tennessee.
